Discounted Early-bird Registration is available until 23:59, 15th June, 2011 Beijing time. Normal registration rates are applicable between June 16 and July 15. From July 16, registrations will be accepted at the late registration rate.
To encourage attendees to take advantage of the great co-located tutorials and workshops, we are offering package registration that will help save money for attendees looking to add tutorials and workshops to their SIGIR experience.
In addition to registration to the conference, you should also separately reserve a hotel room at the Beijing Hotel, where the conference will be held. We have blocked a limited number of rooms at special rates. The cut-off date for the special rates is June 30.
All prices given below are in US Dollars and Chinese Yuan.

Terms and Conditions:
Member registration rates are available to members of ACM, SIGIR or in-cooperation societies only. Student registration rates are available to full-time students only.
Your
conference registration will include:
- Admission to all plenary, paper and demonstration sessions taking place on Monday-Wednesday, 25-27 July 2011;
- Doctoral Consortium on Sunday, 24 July 2011;
- Conference bag;
- Electronic proceedings (CD);
- Morning and afternoon coffees/teas during the main conference, Monday-Wednesday;
- Admission to the Welcome Reception on Sunday, 24 July 2011;
- Admission to the Poster Reception with buffet on Monday, 25 July 2011;
- Admission to the Banquet on Tuesday evening, 26 July 2011;
- Admission to the Newcomers breakfast on Monday morning, 25 July 2011 (for first time SIGIR attendees only).
Tutorial registration includes tutorial notes, coffees/teas.
Workshop registration includes electronic workshop notes, coffees/teas.
Package rates will include the above, as
appropriate.
Refund/Cancelation Policy:
Refunds will be made on a case-by-case basis. Prior to 15 June, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $100 to cancel your conference registration, and $10 for canceling a workshop or tutorial registration. From 16 June to 15 July, we impose a fee of 50% of the refund amount for any refunds that are made. Unfortunately, refund requests after the 15 July deadline cannot be entertained.
Payment Methods:
We suggest using credit cards to pay the registration fees. However, registrants can also choose to pay by remittance or by cash on-site (only RMB cash will be accepted). Please contact Lixin Zhao if you want to use other payment methods. A registration becomes effective when the payment is received by the deadline.
